About Us

The Manning accounting practice was established in 1978 with a loyal client base, which has followed Morrie Heithoff since his inception into public accounting in the early 70s.

In November 2000, with the admission of Susan Hansen and Jeff Muhlbauer as partners, the firm changed from Heithoff Associates to Heithoff, Hansen, Muhlbauer & Co., P.C.

In 2024, the firm updated its name to Manning CPAs, P.C. to reflect changes in partners. Current partners are Susan Hansen, Jeff Muhlbauer, Chad Schechinger, and Christina Renze.

Our public accounting firm consists of six tax preparers and three paraprofessionals. Our firm is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants.
